My First Christmas

Look who I met today...

I met this guy today. For some reason it was a big deal. We waited to see him, then people kept taking pictures of me. He asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I didn't know. I had to get 4 shots today at the doctor, so I wasn't too impressed with this Christmas ritual.

Daddy gives me my baths. It is our special time! My favorite part of my baths is watching the yellow cup pour water. I am also sitting in the big girl part of the tub, can you believe it?

That Look

This is the face that makes my mommy melt. When I am trying to figure out what something is, this is what I look like. TOO PRECIOUS!

Daycare makes me SO tired. Everyday when I come home I play for about 30 minutes, eat , and fall asleep until 9:30 or 10:00! Mommy really misses spending awake time with me.

How could I forget?

I tried rice cereal today for the first time. Not much of it ended up in my tummy, but it was still fun!

I am a sitting machine. Now that I have figured it out, that's all I want to do. Well, that and chew on my clothes.

Not "tu tu" sick....

I couldn't go to school today because of diarrhea. So mommy and I got to play!

Mommy and I put up the Christmas tree together. I was really interested in how it felt.

Sometimes it's hard to decide between a good bottle (of Pedialyte) and a finger.... decisions, decisions.

Mommy had to come pick me up early from school today because I refused to eat and had diarrhea again. We went to the doctor yesterday and they said that it was still left over from my stomach bug. Since I can't go back to daycare until my BMs get better, my mommy has to stay at home with me tomorrow. Mommy and daddy are tired of missing work because I am sick.

Look At Me!

Stomach Flu times 3!

On Wednesday night I got the stomach flu. I started throwing up in my sleep about 8:30 at night. Mommy happened to be in there with me and helped me when I started choking. She says it was the scariest moment of her life. I ended up throwing up about 15 times and the doctor sent us to the ER. They gave me some medicine and I started feeling ALOT better. We got home about 3 ... mommy had to go to school the next morning.

On Friday daddy was staying home with me to make sure I wasn't sick anymore. Well, he got sick and Uncle Ken had to come over and help both of us because mommy was at school. PS - between my diarrhea and sick daddy... Uncle Ken wins the Rockstar Uncle of the Week Award.

Mommy was supposed to go play BUNCO, but she didn't get to because everyone was sick. It was probably a good thing because about later Friday night, mommy got it too!

We have been a pathetic bunch this weekend..... but we are feeling better.

My cousin Connor was nice enough to let me borrow his bouncer. I have a blast in it. I think it is so fun to hit the frog and make the piano play music. Cosmo thinks that it is great too because I am at the perfect "kissing" height for him now. Thank you for sharing with me!

A Great Big Giggle

This afternoon after mommy picked me up from daycare, we went home and played. She misses me so much during the day, so she tries to to make up for it. While we were playing mommy did something really silly and I laughed out loud for a minute straight. Mommy thought it was the cutest thing that she had ever seen.

Mommy had to get a picture of this hat. Yesterday I wore it to the mall and I got about 20 compliments on it! So mommy just had to show it off just in case you weren't at Stonebriar yesterday!

We are Back!

It has taken us a few days to get back into the "groove," but we are back. I am feeling much better but still have a tiny bit of congestion left. Mommy survived going back to school, but she tells me all the time about how much she misses me!

I am sick. I had a 100 temp this afternoon and a runny nose. Mommy is upset because she has to go back to school tomorrow and does not want to leave me sick. Daddy is staying home with me.

I went to daycare today

Everything goes straight to my mouth now.

Mommy took me to daycare today for a couple of hours. I cried a little, but not too much. Tomorrow is our last day together before mommy goes back to work. We have had so much fun and mommy is very very sad that it is over.

Sleep? Who needs sleep?

I have decided that sleep is overrated. Since I was really little I have been sleeping through the night, but I have decided to stop. You know what is more fun then just sleeping the night away? Waking mommy and daddy up at 4:45 just to see their faces. I am always so happy to see them in the middle of the night, but I don't think that they feel the same about me.

My Grandparents Rock

This week I have gotten a lot of grandparent time. I really like them. My grandma CZ loves to go shopping, at least that's what they call it. I think they just like to wake me up by holding clothes up to me and asking if they will fit... eesh. My grandpa CZ is silly, look at him putting his hat on me. My grammy loves to rock me all evening long. Grampy sings to me the whole time that he holds me. He always gets "Kayleigh's Rag Time Band" stuck in my head after I play with him. I could not ask for better grandparents, they are SO fun!

Tonight mommy and daddy carved pumpkins, I slept because I was pooped! Daddy carved his with power tools.... they were loud!

My tummy bothered me most of the day today. Mommy just thought that I just wanted her to hold me, not that I didn't feel good..... that was until I lost it. Yep, I lost my dinner all over mommy, and I do mean ALL over her. After everyone bathed and mommy steam cleaned the couch, I felt much better. I guess that's all that I needed.

I love love love my mobile. I am practicing sleeping in my crib all by myself, but every time mom checks on me through the video monitor.... THIS is what I am doing.

My Daddy is so silly!

This weekend I stayed with a babysitter for the first time. ACTUALLY, two baby sitters! Miss Allison and Miss Caroline kept me. I think they had more fun then I did, I pretty much just slept.

Finally.... I caught him!

This bird has been taunting me ever since my grandma bought me my bouncer. If I could just get to him the music will play, the monkey will dance, and the red frog will jump. I have tried and tried to get to him and then today.....

I figured it out!

... and then I grabbed him....

... and kicked him....

... and laughed like it was the funniest thing that I have ever seen!

Strong AND Chunky

Just look at how strong I am getting! I never want to cuddle anymore... I just want someone to hold me so that I can see what is going on. I LOVE to stand, bounce, and giggle at the same time!

The Fair

Daddy took the day off from work and we went to the fair. I slept most of the time.... but here is what I remember.Food break. PS: mommy LOVES her new lens!

11 Weeks Old!

I am already 11 weeks old today... my how the time has flown by.

I have a new trick that I am working on. When my pacifier falls out, I try to put it back in my mouth.... TA-DAA..... I haven't got it quite figured out, but soon enough I will get it!

I got to hang out with my friends Caroline and Allison tonight.... look for a picture to come!

Dirty Fingernails

Somehow my fingernails are always dirty.... mom has been trying to take a picture of them, but it would be too easy if I just sat still! It is a mystery how they get so yucky.... it looks like I have been outside playing in the mud.

Today I went to my first softball game. We went to watch daddy play, but they needed mommy too. She never got on base.

This morning daddy got up at 4 to cook chickens for the church. I woke up with him and never went back to sleep. Mommy was mad.

Tomorrow we have big plans to go grocery shopping.

Being a Baby is SOO tiring!

I had my 2 month appointment today. I got 4 shots! Look at all of the cool Dr. Seuss bandaids they put on me! I was VERY unhappy at the doctor.... I screamed and screamed and screamed.

I have been very unhappy since we got home , finally mommy and daddy got the picture and gave me some baby Tylenol.

Here are my new stats:

Weight - 11 pounds 11 ounces / 75th percentile
Head Circumference - (Mom will have to look it up) / 50th percentile

I am going to go play pathetic again so that mom and dad will pay more attention to me....

Bubbles

I can blow bubbles now.... isn't that cute? I was nice enough to let mommy catch a couple of them with her camera this afternoon.

We went to mommy's school today to run a quick errand. Silly mommy forgot my paci and BOY did I let her know about it. We only got to stay a couple of minutes because I was so upset!

Please pray for us tomorrow. We have our 2 month appointment tomorrow and I have to get some shots! BOO

Just a couple of pictures that mommy took at the wedding that she and daddy went to this weekend.

I am two months old today! Mommy can't believe how the time has flown by! She says that she can't imagine life with out me now. I smile, giggle, hold my head up, "talk", sleep through the night, smile when I see my daddy, and play in the bath tub. I am growng every day!

I got to see my grandma CZ today. I hear that Grammy is sick, I hope she gets feeling better.

Today we went to see Price and mommy took some pictures of him. She is working on the right now. We don't have much to say today.....

Sleep Mommy

I was a very bad baby last night, I woke up at 4 and DID NOT go back to sleep until 8. I was having a blast in my bassinet just cooing and laughing away. Mommy was NOT happy. I finally decided to give her a break at 8, but it was too late.... she couldn't go back to sleep.

In other news, Mommy and I went and registered for daycare today. Mommy is excited because I will be less than a mile from her.

I have been a very grumpy gal today. Mommy finally decided that we needed to get out of the house before she lost her mind. We walked around the mall a couple times since mom didn't get to work out. I slept in m wrap.... just what I needed.

Hi Brother!

My turn....

This picture was an accident... but mommy managed to somewhat save the exposure in Photoshop... and YES, that is the color of my eyes in the light, mommy did not digitally enhance them!

Every morning mommy and I wake up and lay around in bed together. It is our special time. Mommy took some pictures today of us playing.

For those that were concerned about my bowel movements, do not fear, I am better. Now that "it" has passed, I am a happy baby! I didn't fuss all day long!

Ok, my grandma Cz does not have a name that I can call her yet. We are looking for suggestions as to what I can call her. This is what she looks like if that helps.

As of today it has been another week that I have not pooped. The doctor's office told mom to give me a suppository. I have been screaming ever since... and nothing has come out yet.

We are home!

Matt, Amanda, and I before they went to Howdy. Mommy said I couldn't go because it was a Pi Phi thing.... whatever that means.

After a week, mommy and I finally came home.

We loved hanging out with family, meeting Price, and going to our first family reunion (pics to come). I am glad to be back home.

Yesterday I went and ate lunch with my Grammy and let her show me off around campus.

No Poop

We just got in from taking my big brother outside for a bit.

I sat in my BUMBO for about a minute today. Mommy knows she should have waited a couple more weeks, but she just couldn't help herself.

I havent gone number 2 since Saturday! If I don't go by tomorrow afternoon, mom has to call the doctor again. I got to take a nice warm bath tonight to help it move along, nothing has happened yet.

No Price, Dr. Wong says he is being evicted on Friday! Make room for us this weekend grandma.

I played with Connor today, I like to watch him play. Sometimes he will read me a book or try to play ball with me. We also play keep away with my paci.

Mommy Got New Hair

Mommy got new hair today. Ok, enough about her... this is MY blog.

I am starting to try to push myself up during tummy time. I almost did a push up tonight. My parents were surprised. Daddy tried to get me to do it again so he could video it, but I had had enough.

Rub-a-Dub -Dub, Here I am in the Tub

This morning daddy was being selfish and not sharing me with mommy. SO I made a poopie through my diaper and all over him and me. Both of us were pretty dirty, so I got an early morning bath and daddy got a lesson in sharing!

After my bath we went shopping and bought a couple things for Price. I can't wait to meet him! Daddy also got a BlackJack that he is pretty proud of.

My Day Away From Mommy

Today I spent the afternoon with Aunt Jen and Connor. I slept most of the time in my car seat. I hardly noticed that mommy was not there, but she sure missed me! After mommy got there, I played with Connor. Connor kept taking my paci and then putting it back in my mouth. I didn't seem to mind, I just watched him. The adults thought it was really cute.

Mommy is leaving me again tomorrow morning to go to school, so I get to play with Connor again!

Four Weeks Old!

I am four weeks old today, can you believe it? It makes my mommy so sad to think about it!

I got weighed today and guess how much I weigh? 9 and a half pounds! I have gained 22 ounces in 14 days! At this rate I will hit 10 pounds by the end of the week!

We slept in mommy and daddy's room last night. I kept mom and dad up all night making weird noises. Tonight mommy and I will move back to the living room.

I am feeling better today, just a little snot still.

I have not taken a nap longer than 30 minutes today, I bet I will sleep well tonight!

Mommy is still getting big boogers out of my nose. I still get to sleep in my swing. Tonight we are going to try to sleep in mommy and daddy's room again.

I slept all night again last night. Then I ate all morning, mommy was worn out.

My grandma and grandpa came to visit!

My grandma and grandpa came to visit me today. We ate lunch at Dickey's then hung around the house. After dinner grandpa and I cuddled on the couch while mommy and grandma beat daddy at Scrabble.

Sick Day

Being sick is SO rough!

I am still a little sick. I slept from 10 last night until 6:45 this morning.... I have NO appetite! Mom and I have been sitting in the bathroom with the steam on, it feels good! She also keeps coming at me with that blue bugger bulb... and she keeps doing it no matter how much I scream! Mom also had to take my temperature in my you-know-what, I really did not appreciate that! The only good thing that I can find about being sick is that I get to sleep in my swing all night long, I love my swing.

Great... now I am sick

but look at how cute I am!

I am 3 weeks old!

I am 3 weeks old today. It makes my mommy sad to think about me getting older. Today we met Aunt Jen and Connor at IKEA. I decided I was hungry and screamed like a wild banshee all the way through the store. Mommy was embarrassed, but she learned her lesson.... always take a bottle.

My daddy is very sick now, but he took a couple of pictures with me for my 3 week photo shoot.

Monday

Here is daddy giving me my first bottle on Sunday night.

Mom took this today, I look like I am smiling... but I am really telling mom about how much I DO NOT like my new hair bow!

Mommy and I just chilled today. We woke up, cuddled in bed, ate, got mommy's eyebrows done, went to Target.... nothing too exciting.

When daddy got home he and mommy and grammy and I went to the Galleria so mommy could get some fat girl jeans at Old Navy. She was not in a good mood.

Oh, and I opened a present from Aunt Molly tonight. She knitted me a really cute baby blanket! It must have taken her FOREVER... I love it!

Not really an exciting day...

Today we went to Sam's and bought alot of stuff that we didn't need. I slept through the whole trip. When we got home I took a nap on Grammy and mommy took a nap in her bed. Then, we went to Uncle Jen and Aunt Ken's house to eat dinner. Cousin Connor was being silly and entertained us most of the night, I slept. Daddy gave me another bottle, then I slept. I sure hope I sleep tonight!

Like I said, we didn't have a really exciting day.

Top Ten

For those that have not seen it yet, here is my new belly button.


Sorry that I have not blogged, my mommy has been sick.

Here are the Top Ten Things that happened since the last time I talked to you....

10- I went to the Doc today because my eye was oozing green stuff. I had a blocked tear duct... no big deal.

9- I am starting to get a louder scream.

8- I had my first big girl bath where I sat in water. I hated it.

7- I have gained 1 pound and 5 oz since last Monday. The doctor was impressed.

6- Because I have gained weight so well, mommy does not have to wake me up at night anymore!

5- I went to church for the first time. I slept right through it.

4- I pooped all over my mom. She was amazingly not too grossed out by it!

3- My daddy gave me my first bottle today. I rank 1 oz. of mommy milk.

2- Mom got a wrap that she carries me around in. I love it.

1- I am in the 50th percentile for height and weight and 60th percentile for head circumference.

Ok, we are going to sleep now.

My First "Photo Shoot"

I am two weeks old today! Mommy and I took some pictures to remember how cute I am.

Today was our first day completely alone, no visitors! It was a LONG day! Mommy says her throat is starting to hurt, I hope she does not get sick. Tomorrow I have my two week checkup and mom says I have to get a shot. Bummer.

We are going to lay down now.

New Paci

A couple days ago mommy's friend Allison brought me a present called a Wubba Nub. It is a pacifier with a frog on the end of it. Doesn't it look silly in my mouth?

Today Aunt Krisy and Janette came up from Waco to hang out with me. We met Aunt Jen at the mall and ate lunch.

We are starting a night time routine. I get a bath (which I scream through), eat a late dinner, and go to bed. It worked will last night because I slept pretty well. We will see if it works tonight!

PS- Grandma, if you read this in Arizona.... TURN ON YOUR CELL PHONE! We want to talk to you.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today was my daddy's birthday! I started the party about midnight last night, mom and dad wished that I would have just slept through the night and waited to celebrate till morning. They were very tired today.

I have a belly button now! During one of my fits last night mom found my umbilical cord. I think I might have an outie... yuck.

Connor's First Birthday

Today we went to my cousin's first birthday party. I slept through most of the party but my mommy and daddy said it was fun. When we got home I took a nap in my Boppy and my mommy ate Chinese food while she took a bubble bath.

Isn't my blog just SOOO interesting?

I am going to let my Grammy rock me while my mommy takes her nightly nap.

Today was the first day that Mommy and I spent alone.while daddy went to work. When we got up Mommy immediately missed grandma because she did not get to take her morning nap! I got a bath and then sat in my swing for a while. While I laid in my cozy little swing I watched the bugs on the mobile dance around until I finally dozed off. While I slept my mommy was feeling crafty. She made us this cozy little sling out of an old t-shirt. The rest of my day was spent curled up close to mommy while mommy picked up around the house. It is time now for me to eat and go to sleep.
